Yoga Classes

“Yoga is not about touching your toes, it’s about what you learn on the way down.”

Discover yoga classes at Mataram and nourish your body, calm the nervous system, and support deep inner connection. Yoga is a powerful ally on the journey of awakening, supporting us to embody higher frequencies and reconnect with our authentic, higher Self. Through regular practice, yoga supports the healing and integration of body, heart, and mind, allowing us to meet ourselves on a deeply embodied and transformative level.

At Mataram, our Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative yoga classes are designed to support strength, flexibility, emotional balance, and conscious awareness. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, you are invited into a safe, welcoming space to move, breathe, release stress, and reconnect with yourself. Yoga keeps the body flexible and receptive, the heart open and attuned, and the mind clear and grounded. At the same time, it gently releases stored emotional wounding and helps re-pattern habitual mental and nervous system responses. Especially when working with higher frequencies, yoga provides a safe and supportive container for the body and nervous system to receive, integrate, and transmute energies that no longer serve, guiding us into greater alignment, clarity, and inner freedom.

No previous yoga experience is required. All are welcome and invited to practise at their own pace, honouring their individual body, capacity, and level of experience.

Class Schedule & Booking

Vinyasa Yoga

Flowing · Dynamic · Breath-led

Vinyasa Yoga is a creative, flowing practice that links breath with continuous movement. Postures are woven together in a smooth, rhythmic sequence, building strength, flexibility, coordination, and presence. This style is energising yet grounding, supporting vitality, focus, and a deep sense of embodied flow.

Best for: Those who enjoy movement, rhythm, and a dynamic, meditative experience.

Traditional Hatha Yoga

Steady · Grounded · Foundational

Traditional Hatha Yoga offers a slower, more deliberate approach, holding postures for longer periods with conscious breath awareness. This practice builds strength, stability, and alignment while cultivating inner stillness and clarity. Hatha Yoga provides a strong foundation for both physical wellbeing and deeper yogic exploration.

Best for: Those seeking balance, grounding, and a mindful, classical yoga experience.

Yin Yoga

Deep · Receptive · Meditative

Yin Yoga is a quiet, introspective practice that works deeply into the connective tissues, joints, and fascia. Postures are held for several minutes, allowing the body to soften and the nervous system to downshift. This practice supports emotional release, energetic flow, and deep inner listening.

Best for: Stress relief, emotional processing, and cultivating stillness and patience.

Restorative Yoga

Nourishing · Gentle · Deeply Restful

Restorative Yoga is a profoundly nurturing practice designed to support deep rest and nervous system regulation. Using props to fully support the body, postures are held in complete comfort, allowing the system to replenish and restore. This practice is especially supportive during times of fatigue, stress, or healing.

Best for: Deep relaxation, recovery, and nervous system repair.

Each class offers a unique doorway into embodied presence, self-care, and inner connection. You are welcome to explore the practices that best support you in each moment.
